The effect of overpopulation

The population increase has a negative impact on the economic situation, because it destroyed the economic development.

The economic growth rates must be bigger 4 times than the population growth rates, so that citizens feel the impact of economic growth

and the results of the economic reform program in the coming period.

The economic effects of the population increase are:

1- Increasing consumption among individuals, increasing state expenditures on services, spreading unemployment, declining wages in the public and private sectors, rising housing unit prices, urban sprawl on agricultural lands, and the collapse of public utilities.

2- The occurrence of imbalances in the societal system in the country, which may cause the spread of crime due to the spread of unemployment, the lack of opportunity and the people's need for income.

3- Increasing public allocations for spending on basic services, such as education, health, transportation, housing, social protection and security, at the expense of capital expenditure allocations on development projects in the main production sectors such as agriculture and transformational industry.

4- Difficulty taking care of children, low standard of living for the family, child labor, many family disputes, weak family control as a result of parents’ preoccupation, and increased psychological and nervous pressure on parents.

5- There are many dangers of the continuation of the increasing population growth on both individuals, families and groups, especially the most productive and disadvantaged groups, and those least able to meet the requirements of this continuous increase in pregnancy and childbearing and the consequent risks such as: the difficulty of accessing necessary services easily, and the lack of appropriate income
