Draw for the third round of the Carabao Cup


The draw for the third round of the Carabao Cup will take place on Wednesday, 30 August, as City begin their bid to win the title for a record-equalling ninth time.






Currently the only major domestic trophy the Treble winners under Pep Guardiola do not own, the Blues will be keen to challenge for another title, after their shock quarter-final exit at the hands of Southampton last season.





With 32 teams competing in 16 matches, the draw will take place on Sky Sports after the Round 2 match between Doncaster Rovers and Everton ends on Wednesday night.





Former Sheffield Wednesday boss Darren Moore and former City star Izzy Christiansen will pull the numbers out of the bag.





City's ball number will be confirmed on the morning of the draw and Round 3 matches will take place in the week commencing 25 September.
