Suitable weather conditions for eggplant cultivation:



-temperature :

          1- The seed stage

The optimum temperature for seed germination is 24-32°C.

The seeds do not germinate at a temperature of less than 10 or more than 35 degrees Celsius


        2-growth stage

The optimum temperature for plant growth (27-32 Celsius during the day)

and (20-27 Celsius at night)




Sowing dates:

1- Early summer lug

It is sown in the months (February-March).


2- The summer lug

They are sown in the months (April-May).


3- Autumnal lug

It is sown in the months (July-August).


4- The winter grapefruit is grown under the tunnels

They are sown in the months (November-December).




Land preparation for cultivation:

1- Plowing the land

2- Add the following fertilizers:

- Organic fertilizer (20-30 meters)

- Super Phosphate (300 kg / feddan)

- Agricultural sulfur 50 kg / feddan.


3- Layout of the land into lines with a width of 90 cm from the inside of the line to the inside of the line.


4- Irrigation hoses are straightened on the lines


5- Fermenting the land with water 4 days before planting



Cultivation process:

Seedlings are grown in the presence of water at a distance of 50 cm



Irrigation process:


1- At the beginning of plant life after transplantation

Irrigation is done continuously until a radical total of seedlings is formed

Fertilization process:

1- Nitrogen fertilization

An acre needs an average of (250-350 kg) ammonium nitrate fertilizer

Divide into batches

From the age of 10 days until the length of the growing season


2- Potassium fertilization

  Add 50 kg / feddan

During flowering and the length of the growing season


3- Magnesium sulfate fertilizer

It is added at a rate of 25 kg / feddan


4- Calcium fertilizer

It is added at a rate of 25 kg / feddan

 

5- The microelements iron, zinc, manganese

It is added at a rate of 500 g/feddan by foliar spraying

And repeated every 15-20 days, depending on the nature and condition of the plant.



maturity and harvest

The eggplant plant begins to bear fruit 60-70 days after seeding

Harvesting continues for up to 3 months

It may be sterilized and left in the ground for next year
